Everything is Better with Tacos (Female)
Everything is Better with Tacos
Exhibit A: me at 11:58 AM.
Chin in hand. Eyes rolled so far back I can see my own thoughts. The frown is load-bearing. Someone says "Happy Monday!" and I start drafting my resignation letter in my head.
Exhibit B: me at 12:03 PM.
Eyes squeezed shut with joy. Laughing at nothing. Lettuce is falling onto my shirt, there's cheese on my chin, and I have never been more at peace. I forgive everyone. I love Mondays. I'd like to hug the person who said "Happy Monday."
What changed in five minutes? Therapy? A raise? A surprise vacation?
No. Tacos.
Same hair. Same shirt. Completely different person.
Scientists call it a mood swing. I call it lunch.
