Um, No! K Thx Bye! Ceramic Mug, (11oz, 15oz)
Um, No! K Thx Bye!
It's 8:02 AM. I have taken exactly one sip.
Derek appears at my desk. "Hey, got a sec?"
I don't say a word. I just turn my mug.
UM, NO! In big, bold letters. Clear. Firm. Visible from the hallway.
He tries again. "It's just a quick question about the spreadsheet."
I take a long, slow sip, which gives him time to read the fine print: K THX BYE!
The small line is the polite part. I'm not a monster. I'm just caffeinating.
Is it rude to answer questions with ceramic? Maybe. But I've reclaimed 43 minutes of my morning, and the meeting that "could have been an email" is now, in fact, an email.
Come back after the second cup. Or the third. We'll see.
